ALLIANZ PARQUE
SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL
EDO ROCHA ARQUITETURAS
2011-2013
A 45.000 seats multi-use arena, house of Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras. Originally appointed to produce the “tropicalization” of the original project, which had been designed by a European practice, Edo Rocha Arquiteturas effectively designed a whole new scheme from top to bottom. This final design, the one built on site, complies to all mandatory requirements by FIFA, making the Allianz Parque an international football venue.
From 2011 to 2013 I took part as a Senior Architect in the team of architects in Edo Rocha Arquiteturas responsible to develop the Construction Drawings of the scheme. Specifically, I took the task of developing the construction information of the west wing of the arena, by then also known as the Midia Building, housing the main changing rooms/green rooms, auditorium, conference center, TV and radio studios, hospitality rooms, restaurant and others. Among others, my duties included to coordinate MEP drawings and specifications, to ensure the accomplishment of all necessary building regulations and technical requirements, to design all the internal layout and finishes, to design and check shop drawings for the proposed curtain walling and external envelop.
